Coaching Staff

Adam Quinn – Head Coach
Coach Quinn is in his second year taking over the program, where he was a four-year Varsity starting setter from 2005 to 2008. He led his team to the CIF Finals in 2006 and 2008. He was also Tri-Valley Player of the Year and Ventura County Player of the Year in 2008. After high school, he was the starting setter for Moorpark College, where he led them to the CA JC State Championship in 2010 and was named Most Valuable Player. Coach Quinn was awarded a NCAA Div 1 scholarship to Indiana Purdue Ft. Wayne (IPFW), where he was the setter from 2011 through 2012. He has been coaching volleyball in the area since 2012, where his Boys 16s team captured the Gold Medal in the 2015 Open Division of the Junior National Championships. Coach Quinn is also one of the most decorated coaches with all the success his boys and girls teams have had over the past 5 years locally and nationally. Rise Volleyball Club which Adam was a Co Founder/Director was just acquired by Sports Academy where Adam is one of the directors currently. Adam is super excited for this season with a great group of girls.


Eric Varney – JV Coach
Eric was a three year varsity starter for Oak Park High School from his sophomore to senior seasons. In 2008, Eric helped his team sweep the Tri-Valley League, clinch the Championship for the first time in school history, and went on to reach the CIF Division 4 Finals. In 2009, Eric was named Tri-Valley League MVP and First-Team All-CIF after repeating as the undefeated Tri-Valley League Champions and reached the CIF Division 3 Finals. Eric was the starting libero for Moorpark College in 2010 and 2011, took home the 2010 CCCAA State Championship, and was the 2011 CCCAA State Leader in Digs along with being named First-Team All-Western State Conference. Eric went on to play at Lewis University as their starting libero, won the MIVA Conference Championship in 2012 and was an NCAA National Semifinalist. Eric has been a coach since 2009, assisting for his alma mater and various local clubs. In 2014 Eric was the Head Coach of the Newbury Park High School Girls Frosh-Soph team, leading them to a Marmonte League Championship and an Undefeated Season (16-0). Eric was the Varsity Assistant Coach at Viewpoint School in Calabasas from 2015-2016. In 2016, Eric was named the Head Coach of Viewpoint’s JV Boy’s Volleyball team, along with the 7th Grade Girl’s Volleyball team, leading the girls to an Undefeated Season (8-0), and winning the SFVPSL Championship. In the spring of 2017, Eric was the Oak Park High School Boys JV Head Coach, and led the team to a Rio Mesa Tournament Championship and an Undefeated Coastal Canyon League Season. Eric coached at Rise VBC for the 2017 season. His Boys 15-1’s placed 5th at the SCVA Invitational and qualified for the Open Division Championships, where they placed 21st in the nation and won the Flight-1 Division. Eric’s Girls 17-1’s competed in the SCVA Summer Soirée and placed 5th in the Gold Bracket of the 18’s Division. Eric has been heavily involved in the Ventura County volleyball community for over a decade, and he is excited to continue his coaching career at his alma mater. Weclome Coach Varney.

Alex Barr – Frosh/Soph Coach
This is Alex’s second year with Oak Park’s girls volleyball program. He graduated from Thousand Oaks High School in 2013 where he was a two year varsity setter. He continued his education at Moorpark College where the team tied for first place in the Western State Conference. Alex has coached for Thousand Oaks High School, Redwood Middle School, and open level teams at Bones Volleyball club and Rise Volleyball club. He now attends California Lutheran University, and along with his work at Oak Park, Alex coaches at Thousand Oaks
High School, Moorpark College and Sports Academy Volleyball Club. He looks forward to working with the girls of Oak Park High School and thanks Coach Adam Quinn for the opportunity.

Kendall Bilbruck – Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Kendall is from Huntington Beach, California where she attended Fountain Valley High School. She was captain and 3 year Varsity setter. Following high school, she attended California State Channel Islands, where she was the setter and team captain of the team for 4 years. Coach Kendall has coached for the past seven years. She has coached at the club, middle school, and high school levels. She has coached boys and girls at 7th and 8th grade levels at St. Barbara Elementary and Oaks Christian Middle School. Kendall has been the head coach for Valley Academy of Arts and Sciences in Granada Hills, Boy’s Assistant Varsity Coach at Moorpark High school and Boy’s Assistant Junior Varsity at Oak Park. Her club coaching experience has been with USA United Volleyball Club (14-1’s), Rise Volleyball Club (13-1’s, 14-2’s, 15-1’s and 16-2’s), and will be coaching this upcoming club season at Sports Academy. This will be her second year with the Oak Park Girl’s Volleyball Program. Welcome back Coach Kendall to Oak Park High.
